Listing evidence

What is sale confidence?

Confidence summarizes how strongly the available evidence supports that a listing is real, current, and accurately represented. The numeric score and Low, Medium, or High band are useful signals—not guarantees.

Evidence considered

  • Whether the listing came from its host or a community spotter, and the source's verified reputation history.
  • Schedule completeness, lifecycle, freshness, and how recently material evidence was observed.
  • Distinct proximity-backed attendance, accepted contributions, and active or conflicting status observations.
  • Current reviewed moderation state. Raw report counts alone do not lower confidence.

What is not considered

Views, saves, payment, and raw engagement do not establish truth. Confidence never awards reputation.

How to interpret the bands

  • Low: evidence is limited, aging, or conflicting.
  • Medium: useful evidence exists, with uncertainty remaining.
  • High: evidence is strong, recent, and consistent.

Safety boundary

Confidence alone never removes a sale, changes its lifecycle, decides ownership, or resolves a report. Those actions require their own authorization and corroborated moderation workflows.
